Google Sets September 1 Deadline for AI Max Migration

Google is forcing all Search campaigns to migrate to AI Max โ€” its AI-powered campaign type that automates keywords, bidding, and creative. Starting September 1, legacy broad match and ACA campaigns will be converted automatically. Advertisers can no longer create new campaigns with manual controls. This is Google saying: trust the algorithm or get left behind.

The $2 Trillion SaaSpocalypse: AI Agents Reshape Enterprise Software

Software stocks have lost over $2 trillion in market cap since January. For the first time ever, software P/E multiples trade below the S&P 500 โ€” down from 84x in 2020 to 22.7x today. The trigger? Claude Surpasses ChatGPT as Most Downloaded App

Also from the Forbes AI 50: Anthropic's Claude became the #1 app on the App Store in February, overtaking ChatGPT. Revenue hit $4.5B last year. But the bigger story is Claude Cowork โ€” the desktop AI that automates "white-collar work" โ€” which spooked markets so badly it erased $285 billion in SaaS stocks in 48 hours. Anthropic is now valued at $380 billion.

๐Ÿ’ก My Take

Read this one: The SaaSpocalypse piece. It's not just about stock prices โ€” it's about a structural shift in how enterprises buy and use software. AI agents are making the per-seat licensing model obsolete. PMMs at SaaS companies need to think hard about how their value prop changes when one AI agent can do what 10 licensed users did before. The pricing and packaging conversation is about to get very uncomfortable.
